SEWING CLASSES

We want to make more muses!

Take our 8-week sewing courses to learn key skills at any sewing level. The Muses are experienced teachers, providing you the opportunity to achieve your creative goals.

Classes are booked on a flexible basis, working with your schedule and taught in our easy-to-reach downtown Hamilton shop.

basic sewing (ages 9 - 12) 

$300+HST

Are you a creative kid who wants to learn how to sew? Then this is the class for you! Our classes are taught by experienced professionals who also like to have fun. With a smaller class size we ensure that every student will get the assistance they need and deserve. Over the course of 8 weeks we will cover sewing machine use, entry level stitches, pattern reading, and construction techniques. By then end of the course students will have made a pillow case, and a pair of pyjama pants. A supply list will be provided in advance of the first class. Students are welcome to bring their own machine, or we can provide a machine. Maximum 2 students per class.

basic sewing (ages 12 - 18)

$350+HST

Ever wanted to learn how to sew, but didn't know where to start? Well this is the class for you. Our classes are taught by experienced professionals who also like to have fun. With a smaller class size we ensure that every student will get the assistance they need and deserve. Over the course of 8 weeks we will cover sewing machine use, entry level stitches, pattern reading, and construction techniques. By then end of the course students will have a tote bag, and a pair of pyjama pants. A supply list will be provided in advance of the first class. Students are welcome to bring their own machine, or we can provide a machine. Maximum 2 students per class.

advanced sewing (ages 12 - 18)

$450+HST

Do you know how to sew, but want to take your skills to the next level? Well this is the class for you! (Please review our Basic Sewing class to make sure the advanced course is a good fit). Our classes are taught by experienced professionals who also like to have fun. With a smaller class size we ensure that every student will get the assistance they need, and deserve. Over the course of 8 weeks we will cover more advanced sewing techniques like: button holes, fit, inserting a zipper, and sleeves. By the end of the course students will have made a pillow case with a button hole closure, and a finished garment (either a dress or bomber jacket). A supply list will be provided in advance of the first class. Students are welcome to bring their own machine, or we can provide a machine. Maximum 2 students per class.

advanced sewing (ages 18+)

$500+HST

Do you know how to sew, but want to take your skills to the next level? Well this is the class for you! (Please review our Basic Sewing class to make sure the advanced course is a good fit). Our classes are taught by experienced professionals who also like to have fun. With a smaller class size we ensure that every student will get the assistance they need, and deserve. Over the course of 8 weeks we will cover more advanced sewing techniques like: button holes, fit, inserting a zipper, and sleeves. Need a quick refresher on a sewing techinique, or need some guidance on a repair? Drop in any time during business hours and we can assist you. Sessions are based on a "pay what you can model" and limited to one hour. Clients are welcome to bring their own supplies, or we can provide them in house (within reason).
